BOC has released an addition to its welding range with the Smootharc DC 185 TIG. With HF arc initiation and pulse capability, the product is an inverter-based TIG welding machine with MMA capabilities suitable for welding steel, stainless steel and copper. Acccording to the company it is also ideal for welding sheet metal, stainless steel fabrications, pipe welding root runs and reactive materials such as titanium.
Functions include two pulse frequency options and adjustable downslope time to ensure control of welding parameters when welding all materials. A single-phase 240V inverter, it is portable and can be run from any 15A power socket
